Dr. Ahmad Alamadi

Dr. Ahmad Alamadi is the current President of Emirates ENT society. Visiting Consultant otologist , neurotologist and cochlear implant surgeon at Kuwait hospital Dubai, SKMC Abu Dhabi and University hospital Sharjah. He is also clinical associate professor at Sharjah University and CEO of Dubai Advance hearing and Balance Center.

Dr. Alamadi graduated from Glasgow medical school in Scotland. In 1993, he completed his training in Scotland by obtaining his Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1998. He
followed his higher surgical training in Toronto by joining a neurotology fellowship program.

Dr. Alamadi has over 25 years experience in all types of otological surgeries, cochlear implantation and implantable hearing devices.

Dr. Jean Abitbol

Dr. Jean Abitbol is an internationally renowned otolaryngologist, surgeon, and phoniatrist whose pioneering work has advanced the medical, cultural, and artistic understanding of the human voice for more than 35 years.

He trained as Assistant Intern at the Paris Hospitals and later served as Head of Clinic at the Faculty of Medicine of Paris. A specialist in otolaryngology and head surgery, he went on to lead surgical teams and establish himself as one of the foremost experts in voice medicine. He also served as President of the International Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, where he contributed to innovations in laser applications for voice and laryngeal surgery.

Dr. Abitbol is Adjunct Professor of ENT at Drexel University in Philadelphia (USA). His medical and surgical research has played a pivotal role in advancing voice care and therapy, bridging the fields of medicine, science, and the performing arts.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Abitbol was named Officer of the Legion of Honor, one of France’s highest distinctions.

He is also a prolific author whose works have reached international audiences. His books include:

Dr. Georgios Papatziamos

After graduating from Karolinska Institutet Medical School, Dr. Georgios Papatziamos, M.D., Ph.D., completed his ENT training at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden’s capital. He has worked there for 32 years and his areas of expertise include besides ear surgery paediatric ENT, mainly pediatric head and neck and airway surgery.

For the past four years, he has performed ear surgery at the Sophiahemmet, Sweden’s largest private hospital.

When not in the operating room, he tends to his garden in Greece where his olive trees tolerate his attention and even reward him with an olive oil he insists is excellent.

Dr. Lance Maron

Dr. Lance Maron is an ENT in private practice at the Parklane Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa. Besides fulfilling the scope of a general ENT, Dr. Maron has a particular interest in Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology and Advanced Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. He has also established “The Voice and Swallowing Centre @ Netcare Parklane Hospital” – a multidisciplinary centre that cares for voice and swallowing disorders.

At the age of 5, he had his first taste of the performing arts when he was cast in a movie. He then went on to play lead roles in many professional theatre productions as a child and adult. He also appeared on television and had a small lead role in the BBC made feature film “A Private Life”.

With this passion and personal experience in the performing arts , Dr Maron set out to gain a deeper understanding and insight into the super specialty of Laryngology (concentrating on the management of complicated voice disorders and care of the professional voice). This has enabled him to combine his capabilities as a performing artist and medical doctor.

He has worked on various South African theatre productions as resident ENT, assisting with education of the cast regarding voice care and prevention of vocal injury and management of vocal medical problems. These include the South African productions of: The Lion King, Rent, Hairspray, Mama Mia, Dreamgirls, Jersey Boys and The Colour Purple.

Since 2008 he has formed part of the academic faculty of many international laryngology conferences and workshops and is a member of the Voice Foundation. In 2017, he was elected onto the board of the IAP – International Association of Phonosurgery.

Dr. Maron was on the organizing committee of the annual ENT Congress “2010: A Laryngeal Odyssey”. He currently forms part of a Multidisciplinary Reflux Focus Group and served as editor and contributing author of “ENT FOCUS”, a local publication distributed to ENT’s, Paediatricians and GP’s. In 2018, he became the founding member and president of the Laryngology Society of South Africa.

Dr. Maryam Ali AlQaydi is a Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (SB-ORL) with fellowship training in laryngology. She’s also been an active member of the ACGME International Review Committee for surgical specialties since 2021. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Maryam is deeply involved in academia, serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at UAE University since 2022, and more recently at Ajman College of Medicine since 2025.

She also plays a pivotal role in shaping the healthcare system in the UAE through her contributions to the National Institute for Health Specialties, where she serves across accreditation, review, and surveyor committees.

Dr. Noweed Ahmad

Dr. Noweed Ahmad is Cochlear Implant Programme Director and Superspecialist in Otology, Neurotology and Skullbase Surgery in STMC, Al Ain. With over 2 decades of UK training and working experience, including fellowships in the USA, Canada and Australia, he has a rare dual qualification (Masters) in Audiology. He has performed hundreds of auditory implants, regularly lecturing on CI.

In 2022, he broke the world record for a CI procedure in a 103-year old (and the first-ever subtotal petrousectomy under LA). He is Founding-Director of the world’s largest charity CI programme and Chairman of the GCC Expert Panel on Adult Cochlear Implantation.

Dr. Vishal Pawar

Dr. Nupur Kapoor Nerurkar is an ENT surgeon, who graduated from KEM Hospital with a first rank. Following her laryngology training in 2003, she is practicing exclusively as a laryngologist and is currently heading the Bombay Hospital Voice & Swallowing Center. She is the ENT DNB Coordinator and Director of the Laryngology Fellowship program. She is Course Director of the Annual Workshops on Phonosurgery for 19 years.

She is a past President of the Association of Phonosurgeons of India, fellow of the ALA, ABEA, Voice Foundation, Founder and Board member of the IATVS and Executive Committee member of the IAP.

Dr. Tamer Sayed Ebaied

Dr. Tamer Sayed Ebaied is an Otologist and Neurotologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Abu Dhabi, with extensive expertise in endoscopic ear surgery, otology, and neurotology.

He earned his MD in Medicine from Alexandria University, Egypt, where he also serves as a Lecturer in the Department of ENT. He completed a Fellowship at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), Italy, specializing in endoscopic ear surgery (EES) and lateral skull base interventions.

Dr. Ebaied is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS-ENT) and an active member of the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery (IWGEES). He is also a Founding Member of the Pan Arab Endoscopic Ear Surgery Society (PAEES).

With his academic and clinical contributions, Dr. Ebaied continues to advance minimally invasive techniques in otology and neurotology while actively training the next generation of ENT specialists.

Dr. Vishal Pawar

Dr. Vishal Pawar is a specialist neurologist based in Dubai with over 12 years of clinical experience in neurology. He has established a successful Vertigo Clinic since 2019, where he has treated more than 4,000 patients with vestibular disorders. Dr. Pawar is proficient in advanced vestibular diagnostics, including video-nystagmography, video head impulse testing, and posturography, and is highly experienced in vestibular rehabilitation therapy and canalith repositioning procedures.

Academically, he has delivered more than 150 educational sessions, including 126 keynote lectures, and has authored 38 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has also contributed to book chapters and international research collaborations. His achievements include the Best Medical Researcher Award (2022), Clinical and Academic Excellence Award (2023), and multiple recognitions for clinical and academic contributions.
